I had always thought about how my own art work space would look like if I didn't have to worry about the expense of making it. It would have enough counter space for cutting out large pieces of paper, fabric or other materials that I want. A place for my dressmaker's mannequin, computer, and plenty of areas to store any materials that I might work with. I'd also like space to display photos and art. Keeping those things in mind, I produced this line drawing. I was actually inspired by a scene in Studio Ghibli's "Howl's Moving Castle". The drawing took some time to do, since I first laid it out in pencil, then went over the pencil marks with a fine tipped pen, and finally used the same pen in various strokes to create the shadows. For the paper, I chose an antiqued coloured craft paper for an overall aged look. This is my ideal work space and hopefully I can create it in real life soon.
